Also on a very busy Saturday Loughgiel hosted 27 young hurlers from Omagh St Endas Club. They visited Scullion Hurls in the morning, then senior hurlers DD, Duck, Clyde and James put them though a ball wall training session. They were full of praise for the advice and tips that the seniors gave them. In the afternoon they young lads went to watch the Senior Semi Final in Healy Park before finishing their hurling fest with a challenge game against our Under 12 Hurlers. St Endas presented our club with a very nice gift and we are both keen that this friendship can continue and flourish in the future. (some photos can be found on FB with a link to the Omagh St Endas page which has 100 photos of their trip)
On Sunday morning the Under 6 & 8 hurlers had their last training session of the season. The boys were all presented with a special wall hurling ball and encouraged to use it on the club wall over the winter months to increase skill levels.
