Ulster GAA are involved in a programme of education for young people, aged 16 - 25 years, in conjunction with the Young Farmers Clubs of Ulster.
There are seven workshops taking place, at various locations, over the next six months (October - March). The workshops will educate young people in areas such as healthy lifestyles, farm and road safety, and other issues relevant to young people. This is a worthwhile exercise to be involved in from a learning point of view, but also good experience to add to CVs and so forth.
We are approaching four GAA clubs per workshop to provide six participants per Club, aged 16-25 years, to attend one workshop. Fifteen GAA members will be selected, from the total 168, to attend a final event in March 2013.
Ulster GAA will be offering a sports voucher to clubs who come on-board with the scheme.
Each workshop will last from 7.30pm - 9.30pm finishing with tea and coffee.
I am emailing your Club to see if you can provide six participants to attend a workshop on Tuesday 30th October in the Millennium Centre, Loughguile, BT44 9JN from 7.30pm - 9.30pm.
