Hurlers bring home the Feile Title and are Crowned Kings of Antrim.
On a beautiful sunny day in Sarsfields GAC a battle was about to commence to decide who would be crowned the the All county Feile hurling champions 2015.
The game started with the boys in blue sending the ball into the back of the Loughgiel keepers net. With Loughgiel against the breeze in the first half it was set to be an encounter of the toughest. With the two teams evenly matched, on the blow of half time a scrumage in the Loughgiel full forward line with Frank Boyle and Christy Dickson fighting for every pull the ball ended up in the back of the St Galls net which left the teams two apart at half time.
It was all to play for as the lads from Loughgiel were to have the wind at their backs in the second half. Loughgiel dominated the second half and scored with ease at every opportunity. Super sub Conor O'Mullan had only graced the field with less than 10 mins to play, when he hammered the ball home like a bullet into the back of the St Galls net. Michael McGarry added a couple more points to the score sheet and there was no doubt that the title of Antrim County Champions and the Feile Shield was making its ways to Loughgiel.
A solid
team performance all over the field from the last line of defence to number 15.
Some of the scoring from Frank Boyle, Connor O'Mullan and Michael McGarry
was worthy of any County Final. Congratulations to the Management & Players
of the U14 Hurling panel on securing the titles of North Antrim & All
County Feile Champions. Good Luck in the All Ireland Feile Na nGael from all at
