‘Once again the shamrocks travelled in their hundreds to
Owenbeg Dungiven and gave our fine men great support. However unfortunately
there was a very small number of ‘supporters’ that were not respecting the
officials of the game by directing disgraceful language towards them and also
the Ballygalget team when leaving the pitch at the end of the game. This was in
a stand that was populated by supporters and young families from various clubs.
This type of disgraceful behaviour will not be tolerated by the committee of
this club and it’s loyal and respectful supporters. We are all passionate
supporters of this club, but have to be mindful that the actions of one or a few
blacken the good name that our club has.’
