Loughgiel 0-27 2-13 Na Piarsaigh

Loughgiel beat Limerick side Na Piarsaigh by eight points after extra-time to ensure their passage into the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Club final.

Loughgiel will play Offaly side Coolderry in the final after a dramatic success at Parnell Park, Dublin.

The Antrim side led 0-11 to 1-5 at half-time despite a David Breen goal.

Loughgiel led comfortably but a late fightback saw Na Piarsaigh draw level. Liam Watson ended with 16 points as his side romped home in extra-time.

Loughgiel took a deserved early lead, but the sides traded points, with Watson, Eddie McCloskey and Declan Laverty getting their names on the scoreboard for the Antrim men.

Loughgiel extended their lead to six points at 0-11 to 0-5, with Watson contributing eight scores in the first period.

Breen found the net for Na Piarsaigh in the final minute of the half to reduce his side's deficit to three points.

Laverty scored the first point of the second half and then Watson squandered a good goal chance.

Joey Scullion landed a point and Watson's ninth score made it 0-14 to 1-6.

DD Quinn then excelled to turn the ball round the post from the lively Breen.

Brendan McCarry's point made it 0-18 to 1-11 and then Watson had a point controversially disallowed.

Robert Sheahan scored a late goal and Kevin Downes knocked the ball between the posts to take the game to extra-time.

Watson continued to star as Loughgiel led 0-21 to 2-13 after the first period of extra-time.

Watson brought his tally to 16 to make it 0-25 to 2-13, and two further points ensured a comfortable final scoreline and a place in the St Patrick's Day final for the first time since 1983.

Na Piarsaigh captain Kieran Bermingham was sent-off late in the game.
