There are 45 projects selected to be put forward to the voting stage. The final decision on who receives the grants will be split equally between a public vote (below!) and voting from an expert judging panel.
Our programme involves the development of a Wall-Ball and Handball Alley. Loughgiel is a rural area and has a high number of elderly people, and had the highest proportion of obesity related deaths (12) when compared to other NIHSC Trusts areas from 2006-2010 (39). By providing facilities that can be appropriately used by all ages, we envisage our proposal having a high impact on fitness levels.
