Loughgiel Shamrocks Camogie U14 team regained the 2015 Ulster Feile Division 1 title on Sunday past at a sun soaked Owenbeg. Loughgiel completed in a section that contained, Lavey, Ballycastle and recent Derry Feile winners Newbridge.
The girls eased through their section winning all their games and played Section 2 runners up and neighbours Dunloy in the semi-final. In what was to be expected a tight affair, Loughgiel eased through at a canter.
Awaiting us in the final was our section 1 runners up Lavey who had beaten Cushendall in the other semi-final. Cheered on by our travelling parents and families, the girls played the final with the same poise as they had in all their earlier games. In the end they ran out comfortable winners on a score line of 5-02 to 1-00.
Over the 5 games played, they girls scored 18-17 and conceded only 1-04. More importantly we had 9 different girls on the score sheet. So the Ulster Feile Division 1 Title is added to the already won Mid Ulster "A” and "B” Title`s.
Next up is Bridini Oga next Sunday 26th at 5.30 in Glenravel, in the first round game of the Antrim Feile.
