congratulations on a superb victory, as we know a team effort but wot we don't all admit is that watson is the power horse of the team, let's not forget the prior mentors who have got very little credit for instilling a kind of hurling that is now comparable and better to any in ireland. I remember talking to them just after a narrow defeat by dunloy in casement and them saying it was a 5 year plan and an all ireland was the goal. NOT FAR OFF THE MARK boys
a lot of people deserve credit for this victory, a lot of people contributed to the hurling club in a lot of different ways and are all worthy of praise, but none more so than the lads who put in so much hard work and won with such dignity and respect, they are a shinng example to everyone in the club and give us all the will and determination to continue and improve the clubs success.

Congratulations to our close neighbours on your comprehensive win over Coolderry in the ALL IRELAND HURLING FINAL.You are all a credit to your club, parish, county and province, most of all to your famillies. Loughgeil and Antrim are now firmly on the hurling map. Liam Watson played a star role and rightly got man of the match.Well done PJ, Jim Nelson and Mick (ex Glenravel hurling manager) Antrim hurling panel will now be stronger with you guys coming back.

Ode to all Hurling Pundits (near and far)
Oh to be a Shamrocks fan
on St Patrick's Day in Croke
Strolling down the Drumcondra Road,
With all the hurling folk
They've come from all over Ireland,
North, south, east and west.
Too see which club will claim the prize,
Of Ireland's hurling best
The pundits make Coolderry favourites
With every word they write.
Haven't they seen the Shamrocks play
The men in red and white
After 30 minutes of ebb and flow
The Shamrocks lead by nine
The pundits scratch their heads and wonder
When will Coolderry start to shine
Who are these men in red and white they ask
They hurl with style and flair
That man Watson's dancing around defenders
Like a junior Fred Astaire!
By the time the final whistle blows
The pundits are tearing out their hair
The Shamrocks win the Tom Moore cup
With eight clear points to spare
Tom Moore 's heading to his Northern home
And we'd like to make it clear
To Johnny, DD and the lads
Please bring him back again next year.
For all the pundits near and far
The truth is hard to swallow
If you want to see All Irelands won,
It's the Shamrocks you should follow.
