Well done Loughgiel on your win yesterday.  Keep up the good work!  Good to see that young Watson, barney, Eddie' DD, Johnny and the boys delivered the goods and played hurling to their full potential.  Best of luck lads in the Ulster Final and a potential All Ireland series.

congrats once again to the loughgiel team and management on a great display of hurling today in belfast. Laim Watson is an amazing hurler, the rest of the team were on top form too, but Laim has all star quality.

Would just like to echo the sentiments of belfast shamrock. I was also suprised that Babs got the job mainly due to his age. But he has done a super job and deserves all the credit he gets.
This team under his management has just won us a county championship. He, his backroom staff/coaches and as he would say himself, the players deserve enormous credit. I really hope they have all re-focused for Sunday and that we get the result to progress to an Ulster final.

Now that the dust has settled on our championship win and we look forward to Ulster , can I pass on a few words.

Firstly heartious congratulations to the players on their famous victory. It was worth every year of the heartache to get this one.
Secondly. please dont rest on your laurels in Ulster. Train hard and prepare right and you have the potential to win Ulster and go forward to an all-ireland series.
Thirdly, to our wonderful supporters what more can be said. The out pouring of emotion on county final day was immense and it was great to be a loughgiel man/women and great to be part of. Lets continue to support our club and follow our teams, hopefully to more glory.
Fourthly, to all the back room staff, helpers, water carriers, tea ladies, sponsors, medics etc. Your work is sometimes never seen or even overlooked. I know from speaking to the players and management how much your efforts contribute to the overall running of this team. You cant be thanked enough.
Finally to our management.
When young Babs was appointed at the start of the year there was alot of people questioning him and his credentials, myself included. Well its humble pie time. I for one cant speak highly enough of what he has done. He went and got the best coaches/selectors/trainers that are about. (Nelson the best coach in Ulster, McGurk with his psychological aspect, Mick for being Mick, Tommy the fitness man and Dominic as the experienced man who seen it all before). He gelled everyone together and got the players to buy into what he was selling. I know from speaking to the players that they now have the upmost respect for him now and that says it all. And I also know that he doesnt take enough credit for what he has done. He always praises his players for he always says that they do the hurling.
I want to wish him, his management and the players all the best in Ulster and thank them for making me the happiest person alive.
